Digital Minimalism

a philosophy of technology use in which you focus your online time on a small number of carefully selected and optimized activities that strongly support things you value, and then happily miss out on everything else.

Involves

  • keeping your phone out of sight most of the day
  • focusing on analog activities
  • in person socializing

I’d like to do more of this, but I’m not sure the whole thing is for me. I like YouTube and TV too much.

But some things I can do:

  • More board games
  • More walks
  • More in person activities
  • More books

That being said:

  • Notes are better when they are digital
  • I use an e-reader
  • Paper maps are not always practical
